Narcotic Tax Stamps were initiated in 1918 to tax opium, coca leaves & their derivitives,
with th stamp being attached to the drug container. The tax was repealed in 1971.
Marihuana Tax Stamps were initiated in 1937 to enforce uniform regulatins of cannabis.
